Materials needed:
- FrogTape® Advanced
- FrogTape® Delicate Surface
- Paint container
- Paintbrush
- Paint roller
- Two bold wall colors
- Spirit level
- Pencil
Prepare the room
Completely empty the room and protect the floor with tarpaulins or plastic sheeting. Then thoroughly clean the walls, ceiling, and baseboards to remove dust and dirt. A clean surface ensures that paint and painter’s tape adhere optimally and the result is particularly clean.
Measure and tape off the stripes
Use the width of FrogTape® Advanced to mark the vertical stripes evenly on the wall. Use a spirit level to ensure that all lines are perfectly straight. Press the painter’s tape down carefully, especially at the edges, so that the paint does not run underneath and the stripes are clearly defined later.
Apply paint
Since the walls are textured, Rebecca first applied a coat of the base color to achieve clean lines. She then used a small roller to apply the main color over the base color to create the stripes.
Remove painter's tape
Carefully remove the painter’s tape while the paint is still slightly damp. This will create particularly clean, sharp lines without chipping or frayed edges.
The finishing touch
For the final look, the lower half of the wall is painted in a contrasting color. Moldings and baseboards are given a rich hue that rounds out the design. When reattaching the moldings, Rebecca used FrogTape® for sensitive surfaces to secure them to the freshly painted wall while they were being nailed in place.

Take a step back and admire your work: a decorative accent wall with clean lines, bold colors, and plenty of personality—perfect for a creative and inspiring office.
